Stupid question concerning fair trades

I looked on all the logical places in both sections of the forums and I can't find a 'is this a fair trade' thread. I'm nearly sure it exists somewhere but I can't find it and I don't know what it'd be called in the French section and I need an outsider opinion on something. Sorry for possibly spamming, but I did try to find it first.

Someone wants to trade 2 2013 creatures for 8 2017 advent creatures and I don't know if that's unfair or not, considering the years. The new trade thing of course says it's fair, but it just doesn't feel fair to me. Please help

as far as i know, event creature rate can change till the end of the event, so i would wait the end of the advent calendar before trying to trade the creatures.
