Our new chat for every day conversations of the Gothicat International Gang (GIG), all day round!
Tell us something about you, share your every day adventures, ask your questions, banter, laugh and live with us,
bring old friends, make new ones.
Don´t be afraid if your English is not perfect, many from us are also non-native speakers. <3
So have some cookies and a hot cocoa with cream and let´s start talking! ^-^

I hope so, too, yet I met some people who would like such a chat, too.

I had a free day today and looked for some trades here which is always exciting. :D
Tana started eating again and I only had to fed him until this morning.
He also demanded to play with his DaMouse and DaBird so that´s good signs!

Oh, yay, you made a thread for it!

I've been not online to any of my game/forum areas much lately, because I'm working on organizing a big trip for my grandparents. They want to see as many of their old friends as possible, cross off as much of their "Bucket-List" as they can. So it's turning into a really complex multi-city undertaking! Also, it is making me wish I knew Japanese.
My grandfather worked as an oceanographer and had a Japanese colleague whom he really admired. He'd very much like to try and go to Japan and see him one more time, but I don't know how to find the man!
My grandfather's email service cut out on him about three years ago, and we had to move him to a new service, and his old contact lists are gone.
I know his name (Horibe, first name Yoshio), I know he was associated with Tokyo University, I know the titles of a few papers that he and my grandfather published together, but I don't know how to find out if he's even still alive, or how to reach him to arrange this!

So that's what I have been working on, lately.

How is everyone here?

Oh, that sounds interesting! Can´t you write to the head of Tokyo University in English perhaps?
I am sure they are fluent in this international language.

I am so happy that Tana feels better again, Birgit!
Eating is important and if he plays with the toys, it's even better!

I really have to think about getting him this pullover.
He came back in yesterday from the garden with a little puncture wound on his belly.
I am worried, we have to prevent wounds with cells down under therapy.

Poor Tana! Indeed, during therapy, wounds are the least you would want! Maybe don't let him out? When my pets were sick, they usually were sitting on the couch... or maybe he needs those walks to feel better?

Yes, he needs it and he is much better since yesterday.
He only makes short walks from around ten minutes.
Nevertheless, naturally, there are sticks our there and frozen things which could pierce his uncovered belly.....

That's a good thought! I'll try that. He retired in 1983 from there, but it is still worth a chance.
