Problem with animated creatures ( Update : another one )

Hi!

I seem to have a problem visualising some animated creatures in Chrome, although they all work as intended in Firefox. I have the latest stable version of both browsers. I tried with all extensions disabled.
It's weird because I get different results with different creatures. These are the ones I've tried :
-Spell On You from Gothibirthday 2018 and Chesharis Cat from Halloween 2017 : I don't see any image at all.
-Wavekeeper from Gothibirthday 2018 : I see the static image, but not the animation.
-Hellfire from Halloween 2020 : this one works and I can see the animation.

To clarify, this all happens when on the creature profile. The static image is visible in the clans and also from the customisation pages.

Hi, did you try to empty your cookies and your cache ? (in your browser parameters) I know animated creatures had some problems earlier in the year, but Gabou made some changes and they all work well on my Chrome now

If that is not sufficient, could you take a screenshot of you console when you are on the creatures ? (F12) this will help Gabou to see what's wrong

Thanks, Gothikadoll. I cleared cache, but didn't think of cookies. I've done it now, with no difference.

The screenshot is in the spoiler, I hope that's what you mean, please tell me if not.

This one is from Spell On You, which has no image. Wavekeeper ( which has a static image ) is the same, except from the last line links, where it says Uncaught TypeError, which I suppose are specific for each creature animation.
The one that works, Hellfire, only has the first line that mentions 404.

Hi !
I have some chrome extension that breaks animated creatures (AdBlock for exemple).
If you also have chrome extensions, you can try to deactivate them, and see if they are the culprit or not ^^

Thanks for the suggestion, Cottens. I also have a couple of extensions that sometimes break things, so that's the first thing I did. ^^
I tried with all extensions disabled and it still didn't work.

It was a compatiiblity issue, do you know what version of Chrome you use?

I have updated the scripts and the animations should work fine now.

My Chrome is running version 87.0.4280.66 ( and it's currently asking to update, which I'll do soon ). I can confirm the animations now work fine on my end.

Hi again,

I thought I'd post in the same thread, because it's a similar problem. I encountered another Chrome display error with animated creatures. Again, it's fine in Firefox, but not in Chrome ( Version 87.0.4280.88 ), even with extensions disabled and cleared cookies&cache.

The creatures are the shop limited series Snowball Cameos (2016), in which a snowfall is supposed to be inside the snowball. The animation works, but it looks wrong :

I tested it, the animation works fine for me (I'm on Chrome too).

Maybe Gabou already resolved it, or maybe it's again a compability issue.
